Jeff Smith is an accomplished professional with a rich background in , 3D modeling, retouching, mechanical engineering, and technical design. With over 15 years of diverse industry experience, Jeff has honed his skills across various disciplines.

He most recently served as an Assistant Shop Manager at The Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network, where he specialized in the design, planning, and fabrication of custom automation machines. Jeff’s expertise spans manual and CNC machining, waterjet, laser cutting, and 3D printing, as well as the programming of Universal Robots Cobots. His role involved overseeing machine shop operations, ensuring smooth equipment functionality, and managing projects from initial design through testing.

Prior to this, Jeff was the Makerspace Manager at Bounce Innovation Hub, where he developed instructional programs, maintained advanced equipment, and engaged with the local maker community. He also sourced corporate donations and organized educational initiatives that covered 3D printing, CNC machining, and woodworking, among others.

Earlier in his career, Jeff held positions in 3D art and design at various notable organizations. From creating 3D assets for video games at Black Lantern Studios and Frictional Games to building and testing 3D printers at Makergear LLC, his experience showcases versatility in both digital and physical product development.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Game Art and Design from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
